  As you know , pandas are known to be cute and awesome . But there are a few groundbreaking facts about them that I am going to share with you.

  The first fact is a unique one . Pandas are the only bears with thumbs!

Their thumbs are actually actually an enlarged wrist bone !

  The second fact is shocking . Panda mothers can accidentally crush their babies . Yes , you heard that right ! Crush !

  The tiny pandas are especially vulnerable in the face of the mother's 200-pound (90-kilogram) frame. In 2006, a giant panda in China accidentally killed her newborn as it nursed.

  Time for the last fact ! Pandas communicate to each other using a variety of different sounds. Pandas are usually quiet and solitary animals, but they may use a variety of sounds to communicate to each other. They may squeak, growl, bark and huff.

Case Study : Killer whales

  If you have heard about Orcas , you may have heard about killer whales. Killer whales and Orcas have the same meaning.

  Surprisingly, Orcas are actually in the dolphin family . They travel in large pods and are found in every ocean. They communicate through underwater sounds.

  Killer whales hunt by herding fish . After herding the fish, they stun the fish with tail strikes. This one of the many ways of the way orcas hunt.

  Killer whales eat squid, fish, seals and sea birds.
